Hello World!

welcome

Thanks for stopping by!  First posts are always kind of awkward, aren’t they?  It’s kind of like a first date– you’re not sure what to say and want to leave a good impression.  Some of you may know that I’ve had a blog through Blogger so after much consideration & research, I decided to bite the bullet on a new host & domain name.  I also decided to go with WordPress as my new platform.  It’s been a huge learning curve & I’m still not sure what I’m doing sometimes but I am happy with it so far.

I was starting to lose motivation with my other blog.  Putting together posts just wasn’t as fun as it used to be.  I had that blog for over 3 years and life has changed… a lot!  I kind of wanted a new space to start fresh.  I’ve had a few technical difficulties this week thanks to Photobucket not cooperating for several days.  However, I think I have it all worked out now!  I’m still learning how to work WordPress & I think it’s going to be a lot of trial & error.

So, what is life in turquoise?  When we purchased our house this past summer, the first project was painting our front door turquoise.  This blog will incorporate my likes, dislikes, married life, home ownership experiences, and everything in between!

Sometimes a fresh start motivates us just enough, you know? Cheers to new beginnings!

Well, I have to say the first post of a seasoned blogger is a lot less awkward than a first post of a newbie! My first post is cringeworthy. Hahaha!

Thanks! 🙂 I’m still really trying to figure out WordPress though! I like it but Blogger was so easy, haha!

I made the switch from Blogger to self-hosted WP a few years ago and was like… “what the heck just happened?!” You’ll get the hang of it a bit more though in time. 🙂

It’s definitely taking some time to get used to & learn everything. Blogger was definitely straight forward & didn’t require a lot of work but I’m pretty happy with WordPress so far! Glad to know that it gets better! 🙂
