What’s Up Wednesday

Happy Wednesday everyone!  We’re almost through the week and it’s time for another What’s Up Wednesday!

What We’re Eating This Week

It was so nice on Monday evening that we grilled brats, baked some sweet potato fries, and sat outside for dinner.  Unfortunately, that kind of weather isn’t sticking around so the grill is put away for now.  We discovered some amazing marinades for chicken & had that last night.  The rest of the week is up in the air!

What I’m Reminiscing About

Earlier this month, I talked all about my high school proms here!  It’s so fun to look back on those pictures & remember how much fun prom was.

What I’m Loving

I’ve never been a dress person but I’ve been wearing them pretty often lately.  I never realized how comfortable they were!  Surpisingly, Walmart has some pretty cute ones & I recently picked up three dresses for only $25!  (P.S. they have more options online than in the store and they will ship for free if you choose store pickup).

What We’ve Been Up To

April has been a busy month!  We saw Highly Suspect in concert on the first and then I saw Eric Church the next weekend with Nancee, Jaquelyn, and Britnee.

That next weekend, we went to Wahoo to celebrate my stepsister’s 30th birthday.  My stepbrother & his fiance also made the trip from South Dakota so it was awesome for all of us to be together again!

This past weekend, we did some landscaping in our front yard which was much needed.  I’m so glad those rocks are gone!

What I’m Dreading

I think miss Sophie will be adopted next month!  While it’s good that she is going to a forever home, I’m dreading it in a way because I know it’s going to be tough to see her go.  She’s been with us since Thanksgiving and has been through a lot!

What I’m Working On

Changing up some things in my diet.  Well, kind of.  I decided last week that I want to try cutting out dairy.  I don’t have any sort of intolerance to it but I just feel blah.  Like, my workouts have been a struggle sometimes & I’m almost always bloated.  We will see what happens.  I haven’t officially started anything yet because we still have quite a bit of dairy left in the house to get rid of!  But.. I also haven’t been replacing what we finish up.

What I’m Excited About

During our landscaping adventure, we planted a peony bush!  It only has one small bud right now which I’m hoping will blossom over the next few weeks.

What I’m Watching/Reading

I really don’t have any other shows that I’ve been watching lately besides American Crime which ends soon. 🙁  This season is so much better than the last two!  As for reading, I picked up The Twenty Days of Turin last week and I’m about halfway through.  Next up on my list is Brother which I just got from the library yesterday.

What I’m Listening To

Spotify now makes Daily Mix playlists based on what you listen to which I am loving!  It’s so nice to have these rather than having to search for certain playlists.

What I’m Wearing

I just got home from the gym not too long ago & still in my workout clothes– Old Navy shorts (the best shorts!), tank top, zip up hoodie, and Under Armour sweatpants.

What We’re Doing This Weekend

We have a three day weekend thanks to Friday being a holiday but we really don’t have much planned right now.  I’m definitely going to enjoy the extra day off!

What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month

The outdoor boot camp classes start up again mid-May which I’m really excited about!  This will be my fourth summer doing the boot camps which is crazy to think about!  I’m so glad that they’ve kept doing them every summer.

We might also be making a few road trips to see our friends in Broken Bow and my grandparents in South Dakota.  Nothing officially planned yet but we’ve been talking about it for awhile.

What Else Is New

I chopped my hair off this past weekend which I’m still trying to get used to.  My hair is super thick & heavy so it feels healthier but I do kind of miss long hair!

Bonus:  What Is Your Favorite Spring/Summer Shoe?

Give me ALL of the sandals!  Other than Target sandals, the Sanuk Ibiza sandal is my all time favorite.  They are SO comfortable and totally worth the $40 price tag!

Have a great day!  What’s been up with you?

Linking up with Shay, Sheaffer, and Mel.

Friday is a holiday? I didn’t know that. I feel better without milk and ice cream, but cheese doesn’t seem to have any effect on me. Yogurt makes me bloated though. I love cheese though so as long as I can eat them, I’m set! Eating bread definitely makes me feel more sluggish, but I still do it lately. I need to stop though! I like the shirt you’re wearing in the picture of your haircut! I think the outdoor bootcamp sounds so fun! It just seems too hot here to enjoy that though. I miss doing CrossFit though because I miss having the garage doors open and feeling like I’m outside too while I’m working out. Have you read The Little Princes by Connor Grennan (I think that’s his last name)? I just finished it and it was really good!

I love your new haircut. So cute. You have been busy this last month. So many fun things planned. I have thought about cutting out dairy as well. My friend did and she feels so much better. She now loves almond cheese and she is a huge cheese fan. I want to try crossfit and change up my workout routine.
