Our weekend wasn’t anything too exciting. In fact, I didn’t really take any pictures. 🙁 Friday evening, I went to Curtis’ softball game at 6:30 and then we hit up DJs Dugout for a late dinner afterward. Saturday was Dustin & Britnee’s birthday for their daughter who turned 2 that day so we spent the majority of the afternoon/early evening with them. And then Sunday was pretty typical– slept in, went to the gym, ran some errands, grilled hamburgers for dinner, and took Sophie on a walk.
Baking | I’m not huge into baking sweets these days but Target sells this cookie dough & it is SO good! I’m not vegan whatsoever but I think this stuff is just as good as “normal” cookie dough.
We’ve also been eating a lot of these chipotle seasoned sweet potato fries. They are so good!
Listening To | I’m still on a Highly Suspect kick after their concert last month!
Loving | Sophie is officially done with ALL of her treatments. Let’s just say it has been a LONG three months! Her first heartworm treatment was the first week of February; second & third treatments the beginning of March; re-test for heartworm at the beginning of April; spay surgery & teeth cleaning last Tuesday. Oof. With all of her treatments, she has been confined to the leash whenever she is outside. And it has been SO COLD up until the last few days which hasn’t been fun at all. I commend those of you who live in apartments with dogs! 🙂
Planting | We did some much needed landscaping last weekend which involved digging up rocks that had been used as the edge of the flower beds & replacing them with bricks. We also planted a few bushes, including a peony bush and some geraniums. Unfortunately, the weather has been pretty awful the last week & a half (as in, having to cover the plants one night because it was going to freeze!) so I haven’t been able to add any more flowers. It looks like it will be really nice this weekend so I might hit up a few stores for some more flowers to add!
In the time that I took the before & after pictures, the peony has really bloomed! We had to get a stake to support it as it was mostly laying on the ground and probably would have broken off soon.
Remembering | TimeHop reminded me that my bridal shower was a YEAR ago! Man, it doesn’t feel like it has been a year after looking at some of these pictures. It was a fun and beautiful day!
After a stressful day on Friday, I’m trying to start the day out on a positive note. It is supposed to be almost 90 degrees today which is my kind of weather & definitely puts me in a good mood! Especially after we had to have the furnace on all last weekend. Hope you all had a great weekend!
