Happy Monday!

Like usual, this weekend went by way too quickly.  Saturday & Sunday were both busy all day so I’m glad that we don’t have much going on this week!  For today, I’m joining Anne & Lowanda for the September currently link up!  

Celebrating |  Hitting my 2017 reading goal the other day!  25 books felt like a pretty lofty goal at the beginning of the year, especially since I was so out of the habit of reading.  So, I’m pretty excited that I met the goal 3 months ahead of schedule!    

Watching |  Too many Instagram stories.  It’s a black hole that I fall into almost every single night before bed.   

Welcoming |  Mr. Apollo the Beagle into our home.  We have been at our wits end with Bud and his sleepless nights.  The rescue suggested that we try to have Bud hang out with another dog to see how he does.  Apollo was being fostered by another couple but they were willing to let us “borrow” him to see how they would do together.  So far, things have been going well!  Bud seems to be a little more relaxed with having Apollo around.  The sleeping thing is still a work in progress though as he’s been waking up in the middle of the night.  However, he has been going back to sleep rather than spending all night pacing/crying.

Preparing |  Workouts for Tuesdays/Thursdays.  I know I sound like a broken record already but I am so bummed that they cancelled the class I’ve been going to for FOUR years now.  They replaced it with Insanity for now but it’s not the same. 🙁  I went to it last Tuesday night it was awful.  I’ve done Insanity in the past and remember it being a crazy intense workout but I barely sweat during this one.  And the instructor said she was going to use the same workout for the next 2-3 weeks… no thanks.  I find a lot of good ones on Pinterest but Jess has been posting some pretty good ones on IG and they are no joke!  

Photographing |  The dogs.  My phone is full of pictures of Bud, it’s ridiculous.  He’s just so dang cute, even when he drools everywhere!

    I should start planning workouts a little more. I like mixing it up with my home workouts and gym workouts because I do things at home that I’d never do at the gym, but it’s actually hard to fit those in lately. I just am all willy nilly when I work out and decide what I want to do when I get there, but I miss more of the HIIT type stuff. I told myself today that I’ll incorporate some moves on Wednesday that’ll actually work up a GOOD sweat, instead of just strength. I feel you on the class being cancelled though. I hate it when you have something you love with fitness and then it changes. I also get sucked into IG stories at times, but not for TOO long… And I haven’t been watching nearly as much lately. I’m trying not to look at my phone before bed because I noticed it interferes with falling asleep, so it hasn’t been as bad lately.

      It’s hard to plan workouts, especially if I’m totally feeling certain moves when I try to make up my workout before hand but then I get to the gym and do not want to do that certain move for anything (usually pushups, haha). Sometimes I’ll just set up my Tabata timer and wing as I go! I’m crossing my fingers that the trainers will be available in January to start running the class again because I feel totally out of my routine right now, haha. I feel ya on looking at your phone too much before bed. I tell myself I will look at something for only a few minutes & then 30 minutes later… yeah, haha.

    Ugh, I totally get that – I hate it when they move around the schedules of my favorite instructors at my gym. I like my particular classes at my particular times, and nothing else can quite replace them. And woohoo on the reading goal – plenty of time left in the year for lots more good reading 🙂 Thanks for linking up!

      YES! My routine is so out of whack right now! My Tuesdays/Thursdays over the past four years were always this certain class & now… nothing, haha. I’m hoping that the trainers will be available again in January to start teaching class but they are doing other classes right now for this quarter.
